The Isuzu Elf was a popular line of light duty commercial truck in Japan, Hong Kong and other Asian countries ever since it rolled off of the production line in the 1950s.  It was introduced to the United States in the 1980s as well as in Chile and Peru, where it was labelled and sold as a Chevrolet product thanks to a cooperative agreement between Chevrolet and Isuzu.  The first generation release of the Elf went to the Australia market, where many of the local Australian components were used to finish off the vehicle for sale.
The Elf used truck was eventually replaced by the Isuzu Elf Truck.  If you are looking for a used Elf for sale you may have to contact an international vehicle exporter to find one.  Many of the two and four wheel drive vehicles were used for travel buses, school vehicles, and employment buses, as they were designed to be commercial vehicles.  An international vehicle exporter can easily get one of these vehicles for you for a fraction of the cost you will pay trying to find one in the many different used vehicle lots or auction sales within the United States, and the imported vehicle may be in better shape than its American counterparts.
